January 2024   Albemarle Corporation, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, is the country's largest producer of lithium and plans to drain a former lithium mine in Kings Mountain, NC. "It's just important to remember to balance that really important objective of combating climate change with protecting ecosystems and public health in mining communities," Professor Dunn says in the piece.
